We are recruiting our Head Bartender for our new luxury residence, Auriens Chelsea. This role will join our dynamic opening team, to help refine and deliver our exceptional beverage offering.

ABOUT THE ROLE

­

This role is a great opportunity for the right person to help create an exciting and successful bar and beverage offering within an unprecedented setting of luxury Later Life Living.


Our Head Bartender will ensure the bar areas operate smoothly, with sufficient stock and staff at all times. Strong leadership and personnel management skills should be accompanied by a customer service focus and commitment to company values and image. The Head Barperson will pay close attention to all operational details to ensure the comfort, safety and enjoyment of our residents and their guests.


Our food & beverage offering includes several outlets, each with a unique food concept and style: Restaurant including two Private Dining Rooms (80 covers) / Speakeasy (Bar) / The Drawing Room and In-Apartment Dining. The Head Bartender will be responsible for the flawless operation of the bar and beverage offerings in these facilities.


This role reports to the Restaurant Manager and will work in close collaboration with the Head Chef and Operations Manager to bring to life the strategic vision for our beverage offerings.

Responsibilities will include creating menu’s and defining the beverage offering as well as training and leading the bar team, delivery of service excellence and creating meaningful relationships with the Residents making them loyal customers of the restaurant and bars contributing to the financial success of the outlets.

SKILLS


  • Extensive Beverage Knowledge
  • Strong guest engagement skills to develop meaningful and lasting relationships with the Residents and Guests to built loyalty across all outlets
  • Strong presence skills demonstrating five star service excellence, leadership, beverage knowledge and attention to service standard compliance detail
  • Innovative style to drive a dynamic bar operation, unique and one of a kind guest experiences
  • Ability to teach, lead and coach the front of house service team to consistently highest level of personalised service
  • Excellent communicator at all levels within the business
  • Impeccable hygiene and safety management
  • Develop strong relationships with vendor partners
  • Fosters a climate of open communication, trust and respect
  • Promotes positive work relationships with within the division and cross departmentally
  • Flexible and agile in work style
  • Strong wine knowledge, ability to drive innovative wine program
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, EPOS
  • Familiar with latest Trends within Beverage arena and overall Hospitality Industry
  • Ability to create and enforce Auriens’ standards, policies and procedures with all service personnel; ability to prioritize, organize and delegate work assignments
  • Strong inventory controls, understanding international wines, spirits, and beers

 

EXPERIENCE


  • WSET Level 2 (preferred)
  • 3 years experience in Senior Bar Person role (preferred)
  • Previous experience in luxury bar / luxury hospitality (required)
  • Sommelier certification (preferred but not required)
